Dell XPS 1330 and Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibix

I've just upgraded from Hardy Heron to Intrepid Ibix (Ubuntu 8.04 to Ubunt 8.10) and my notebook just started doing all wrong stuff. The navigation arrows stopped working, the UP key takes a screenshot, the left and right ones don't neither the DEL key, the AltGr starts acting as an ENTER key... This was fixed by following this post, basically you have to choose a different keyboard model: Choose the Evdev keyboard model to fix the non-working keyboard arrows And then restart the computer... Anyway, the Desktop Effects are just dead now =(
